StingX2's Gaming Madness

Achievement Unlocked?

What Has my Interest in May Releases

Nintendo DS
Drone Tactics:To me this Strategy game seems worth at least trying, I don’t have great hopes for it. I never really do for this genre but I am occasionally suprised (FF Tactics, Omnimusha Tactics, Fire Emblem).

Super Dodgeball Brawlers:This is the meat of the DS releases, the third game in a series. The first being with the NES, the second launching with the GBA and the third coming now. This series must have the most space in between sequels. What it is…it really is just a simple whacky dodgeball title.

Playstation 2
Chaos Wars:Not critically reviewed in Japan but any game that can be a mashed potato of video game series in a strategy rpg has to at least be tried.

Xbox 360
Iron Man:On Multi platform releases I try to go 360 as I’m an achievement whore, aside from that the game looks to be the first decent Iron Man game ever released.

Bionic Commando Rearmed:I’m still more excited for this title than the big 3d one Capcom is making, what this is a remake of the original NES game.

If I had a Wii…
Boom Blox:This game has caught my eye for a while, and that really is all it will as the above line says it all. Steven Speilberg’s first game should actually get positive reviews.

If I had a PS3...I’d have nothing to look forward too!

If I had a PSP…
R Type Command:I’ll be honest I have 0% interest in the game but have you seen the preorder bonus?!

Who likes achievements? I DO I DO!!! I went back to the scrapyard in Half Life 2’s Black Mesa East chapter for this achievement.

Blast from the Past 10G
Find the HEV Suit Charger faceplate in Eli’s scrapyard.

I love the gravity gun, seriously its easily my favorite weapon aside from the colt six action army, or at least I think thats what its called thanks to Revolver Ocelot.

That.

Other than that I’ve been dabbing in more Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubadour.

#806 The World Ends With You NDS

#806 The World Ends With You [NDS]
91st NDS game finished
38th game finished in 2008

Square-Enix can make good original games without having to stick Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest on it. World easily has the deepest story of any game in recent memory, and with a really addictive battle system its pretty much an unbeatable game.
That being said there is very little I can say about that great story since I can’t even imagine attempting to explain it without massive spoilers.
So let’s move on. The Controls are pretty much spot on, running takes some getting used to but by mid game I forgot I struggled early on. The music is perfect and so is the art style. Yeah you get a Kingdom Hearts vibe from it, but who says thats a bad thing?
Its one horrible feature is a mini game called Tin Pin Slammer. It doesn’t subtract from the game really at all as you move on every time you are forced to play it.
The World Ends with You may turn off some people for looking like a hip hop rpg, well those people are missing out on something gamers will look back to when we move onto the next portable machine.

I give it a 98.3%

I’m coming into the last leg of The World Ends With You, there are just so many spoilers I can’t say anything but its from the Kingdom Hearts team so it feels much like a spinoff of it in a real world atmosphere. And the battle mode is pretty intense and at times very unforgiving.

(On the left:Beat, on the Right:Neku the main character)

Other than that Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubadour has gotten some playtime, I felt in that kind of mood. I’ve reclaimed my tournament prize, befriended Joey (adding on to Yugi, Tea, and Mokuba), and have begun the Expert Tournament which has the confusing instructions of ‘be a high level’. I’m level 10, is that enough mr kaiba sir??
