StingX2’s Gaming Madness

I got back Kameo from my friend on the sacrifice on falling on the bus possibly hurting my knee or ankle on the left leg x_x;.
Kameo suprised me again on how bright it is, but where it really suprised me is how easy it is to collect everything, and actually kind of fun. I especially like collecting is only for the calmer overworld stages and the action stages are just action no need to stop to search for random object #57.

I also love the point payout, I beat a boss get 100 points and in that same cutscene get another 20 points. I’m aiming for the strange 1000 points without completing the game, since a lot of the 0 pointers are….yeesh.

I did earn one 0 point achievement though and that was downloading the designs which actually was worth it. Changing the venus fly trap looking Pummel Weed boxing monster into Mumbo from Banjo Kazooie was the best suprise I could have asked for.

So for my three elemental monsters:Pummel Weed is a boxer who is my main fighter, Rubble reminds me of Rayman as hes a pile of rocks that throws himself everywhere, and Ash is some puff the magic angry dragon thingy. Also big props to Rare on the tree boss, easy as hell but had that massive Rareware feel from Donkey Kong 64.

Moving onto GTAIV, I’m 3 hours in with 7 missions done. I lost time yesterday dating michelle and going out with Roman. I suck badly at bowling, I’m decent at Qubed and could get that achievement today, great at pool and thanks to Lawl Pwned I own at Darts.
What I really suck at is strip clubs when I took Roman I accidently knifed a stripper, we then ran like hell from the place stole a car and were chased across the small toll bridge (the design on that bridge is so realistic and soooo awesome). We then had the car on fire, I jumped out got hit by a cab was flying through the air as the car blew up and shot me through the air like a rocket. Yea gotta work on that…

Also I can’t understand the Jamaican dude at all EVEN WITH SUBTITLES!

Moving onto Ms Pacman this game’s Round 21 achievement got me 3rd in the 30 day challenge I was in and just maybe have secured me the HTTK badge *crosses fingers*

Oh and is anyone else missing their motto badge despite the calculator saying you’ve had it for days?

#811 Naruto:Rise of a Ninja [360]
9th 360 game finished
43rd game finished in 2008

Glitchy and Crashy if you download any dlc for this game without it…still crashes but not as much and glitches fade away. Naruto is a standard Ubisoft title, it seems like half a game and never beta tested.
The fighting can be easily turned into long never ending combos, and if you head online thats all you’ll see. Naruto is hard to control, the graphics are greatand provide the laugh that every random encounter features a guy with a bandana only covering his nose. The music is straight from the show and used perfectly, one of the few things done correct in this game.
The real problem is it tries desperately to follow a story then sees something shiny and cuts out huge slabs of it. The entire game can be summed up as fighting to slow you down from finishing it quickly, pointless races to struggle controlling Naruto, and doors requiring you to stop to watch an overly long animation.
If you are an achievement whore play Naruto for the easy 480-650 and pretend it never existed. If you aren’t run like hell from this one. I give it a 62.5% rating

#810 Mario Kart:Double Dash [GCN]

42nd game finished in 2008

This was the only one in the Mario Kart series I had not played and I feel I didn’t miss anything. Everything good that came out of this game:Unique looking vechiles, some tracks featured in this game and a few characters introduced can be found in Mario Kart DS.
Whats left is two people squished on a small racer, brawl final smash esque powerups and horrible courses like Daisy’s Cruise Ship. The only thing I was left saying was I still like that Yoshi Circuit theme, plane yoshi flying around the Yoshi Circuit was great, the DK mountain level should have been in the DS and is it over yet? Double Dash gets a 76% from me.

Also GTA4 > my soul

Yay 11,000! Even bigger yay I now have a gamerscore that ends in 5 or 0. You may remember my apology yesterday to Naruto, I revoke it this game can burn in hell. Lawl Pwned says if I get at least 300GS it won’t hurt my gamer percentage, that is doable now but considering I have at least 8 dungeons left full of 360 crashing traps, floors I ghost through and walls I become fused with I’m almostready to quit now.

I plan to press on until I beat the game and can earn all the easy points, a big middle finger to the online and collectors achievement also sounds about right.

Also as of writing this I’m now done my classes (sure I have to fail a statistics exam tonight) and i’m so overjoyed. Some free time, god bless it all.

Grand Theft Auto IV remains supreme like a delicious pizza at 30 tags. #2 this week is Halo 3 with 10 tags, #3 Rock Band with 9 tags and here is where it gets a bit interesting. #4 is N+ with 8 tags this week, which stunned me. And Finally #5 was The Orange Box gasping for air with 7 tags.

Some other interesting facts for the previous week:
-Wits and Wagers started off with 4 players, and combined they got 63% of the achievement points
-top 25 cut off is now 18,545, top 10 cut off is 35,401

I have only 100,000 points left in New Rally X, enjoyed this more than I expected. On the flip side Ms Pac Man can goto hell :(. Cloning Clyde is really easy and really short, I’m already a good chunk through it.

Finally I get to Naruto which I’m on the verge of quitting on. The Forest of Death is the same as a ranked random tournament you must win with each character and score a lot of points. The problem? People are really good most getting you into infinite combos. The bigger problem? No way to fix the odds like stacking it full of friends, the userbase on this game is populated 24/7.

But thats not my real gripe, that would be the following glitch. I was supposed to enter the forest to use a key I found, on my way is a trap of a swinging log which deals 20 damage to your HP Bar. The problem is when I got hit the screen went black and when iI could see again a minute later a thick rope was tied around Naruto’s neck. I thought I fell in a trap but it was much much worse.
I kept trudging through the forest when I reached a clothesline of exploding charms. I walked near it and then the game went black and froze, I lost an hours worth of progress. So at this point I question what stops that from happening again and if its worth to me to continue.

My solid conclusion is I still loathe Ubisoft, in more ways than just the games they make.

11:30AM: Naruto deserves an apology, yes it did glitch and crash but it also saved my game for me upon crashing right at the point I crashed. So I lost no progress, this is the first game that has made me apologize to it x.x

I have finally broken the 10,000 gamerscore barrier that took a good 5 months! My brief opinion on Kameo is its beautiful, pretty hard, stages are really long and having an expansion for 0 point achievements is a big LOL. So I got all the achievements in Avatar but I didn’t finish it, I got through the first two stages though and I have a bit to say.

Avatar really suprised me in that it isn’t truly horrible at all (See Yaris). People rag on this game for its handout of 1000 points but in reality the answer is its a ps2 game that was forced to go 360, and the developers had a very short deadline so they didn’t go through coding in an entire game of achievements they simply made it simple to be done quickly to get the port out.

It plays like a platformer version of Devil May Cry for kids, it has some humor in its story, and the controls aren’t bad at all. Most people just wrote this off as the worst game ever that delivers 1000 points to you for popping it in. In reality it still sucks but its like a 60% game not a 0%. And no I’ve never even heard of this cartoon series so I’m not a fan.

I’ve beaten normal countless times and insane twice now, even though I don’t have all 12 achievements I’m chalking this one up as beaten but just not 100%. Aegis Wing probably earns a lot of points being free, because it just wouldn’t be as good nor as populated if it were pay. The fact you can always find a game is a big plus in the fun factor. Other than that its sidescrolling space shmup hell…

WOW, I’m literally stunned that I got 100%. I can’t speak for what it was on release day but as it stands it only has a few minor graphical glitches that only horrible fanboys complain about. I never experienced slow down, or crashes. I did have occasions where saving took a while but thats it.
The game remains a Rockstar classic still ignored by most gamers, and porting an upgrade the same year as GTA4 did not help this title at all (nor did its supposed glitchy release I can’t speak for). Bully still earns a 95% from me.

Some tips for those wanting all 1000 achievement points
1.Save before you goto any class there is a save point in the principals lobby on the second floor. Waiting a whole week for some classes to come around again is a pain in the ass.

2.WALK until you get the marathon achievement (walk 100Km), then do skateboarding and then biking. You’ll be much happier

3.To get Over the Rainbow find the blonde bully in the parking lot

4.You get the lawn mowing achievement before you complete all the missions, so do the house mowing when that becomes available in chapter 4

5.Most guides ignore a clothing item you need for 100%, the prison suit where you must serve all 9 detentions (snow shoveling doesn’t count)

Its also time to stop trying for a high gamer % I think, Its currently gone up two percent to 54% but as soon as I earn an achievement in 3 games I have at 0 it’ll fall. Back to achievement hunting and gamerscore climbing for me.

Some comments on new games
New Rally X:Lord is this…not that awful and kind of fun and super easy
Ms Pac Man:I am struggling to eat 4 ghosts in 4 super pellets in a row.
Cloning Clyde:Seems easy, no points yet
Naruto Rise of a Ninja:Does anybody have any tips for the forest of death? These people are murderously good and it can’t be boosted like most multiplayer games
Avatar:Screw it, I’m getting my 1000 and sending it back
Kameo:Haven’t tried this yet

Bully has been finished 100%, I did the boxing matches got my last few clothing items, and then only had to do the Art/English teacher romance missions. I am pretty floored I didn’t get glitched or anything, I still blame Creed for scarring me. I’ll post a full review tomorrow.

Aside from that I picked up a 1600 pt card, haven’t decided what I’m buying with it yet may randomize from a list of interests. I also borrowed Naruto Rise of a Ninja which aside from collecting should be a decent point pick up. Gamefly games haven’t arrived yet. I’m also not bothering with the poor english voices and downloading the free jap voice pack

I also went to see Iron Man and was pretty much floored. I expected Downey to be the perfect casting and he was, fit the role to a T. Gwenyth Paltrow (oh lord spelling police are coming on that one!) suprised me doing a great job as Tony Stark’s assistant Pepper Potts. Terrence Howard played Jim Rhodes (War Machine) to perfection, and whoever played the villian (I think it was Ironclad) was also perfect.
It had comedy, action, and great acting…the last two skipped out on by the last marvel movie I saw (Fantastic Four 2). Also the short scene after the credits made me go ^__^.

With college having literally two more days, tomorrow and monday I’m looking at my huge backlog to be knocked down despite Gameflys siren song. I also really want to clean up my hard drive, get rid of music/ games/ textfiles/ pictures that simply aren’t needed.

I am Iro…wanting an Avengers movie :O

I’m still alive, just in a lot of pain from my arm. I’m 79% done Bully, on Chapter 5 and have only four achievements left. Replaying this has been a lot of fun and my gamerscore is all smiles from the easy points. I’ve also started up Lost Odyssey again kind of throwing the collecting obsession to the wind.

Well today I have to finish my Research Paper which means a small bit of reading and watching a two hour movie of the 1985 tv production of Death of a Salesmen. This is my last assignment for any classes and all I have left is a History final on the 12th.

In Bully I hit 50% completion, achievements don’t gush anymore and I feel I’ll be lucky if I get any today. I’m still not doing a lot of missions, but I did beat all Bullworth and New Covenant Bike Races, as well I collected every rubberband and G&G card I could in the unlocked areas.
